Sensetech Systems have been employed by the Structuretone Building Services to Design, supply, install and commission an Integrated Vigilon Fire Detection and Voice Alarm System. The project is still in progress to the satisfaction of Structuretone.

1 Millbank, London SW1 is the historic home of the Church Commissioners, designed by William Douglas Caro in 1902 and opened on 24 September 1906, housing one of the first passenger lifts in England used in an office building. The building is now used by the House of Lords for meetings and office accommodation.

The building is now being refurbished to meet 21st century requirements and provides an ideal venue for small conferences and receptions. The venue is close to the House of Commons and Westminster Abbey and within five minutes walking distance of Westminster Tube Station.

Sensetech installed the following systems in the refurbished building to a high technical standard;

  • Fire detection system
  • Smoke ventilation controls
  • Fire telephones
  • Emergency communications
  • Disabled toilet alarms
